If you’re wondering how 2020 went for me, “Ribs” by Lorde was one of my most played songs of the year… that should say enough. Like everyone, 2020 was tough. It was long and weird and challenging, marked by various moments of reckoning.
Read MoreI’ve been quite reflective over the past year… and it’s not the type of reflection that has taken me away from the present but rather, one that has helped me feel more settled with life as is. Throughout this process, I used music as a means to both escape and enjoy. It’s a dichotomy of sorts I suppose, that I not only grew very comfortable with but also empowered by as the year progressed. Finding this peace both internally and externally required moments of solitude and rest. But in welcoming these moments, I was able to fully appreciate the present and create some of the most vibrant memories.
